Task Forces¶
GDC Task Forces: Driving Strategic Implementation
The Global Digital Collaboration (GDC) deploys Task Forces as agile, results-oriented instruments. Each Task Force addresses a focused challenge, explores shared technical approaches, and delivers measurable outcomes—including pilots and proof-of-concepts—within a defined timeframe.
Operating Principles¶
GDC Task Forces operate under a framework of efficiency and multi-stakeholder cooperation:
- Co-led by representatives from the public and private sectors to ensure cross-sectoral alignment.
- Temporary groups designed to solve specific problems and implement GDC strategic goals within a set schedule.
- Inclusive Expertise: Participation is open to GDC Council members, co-organizers, their broader communities, and expert liaisons.
- These mechanisms facilitate cooperation without replacing the authority of regulators or formal standards bodies.
- Progress is achieved through "light rough consensus," with regular strategic briefings provided to the GDC Council.
